Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Work Pod collects when you use workpodng.com, book a space, or send us an enquiry, and what we do with it. It is written with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 in mind.
Who we are
Work Pod operates the co-working space at No. 67, Norman Williams Street, Ikoyi, Lagos. For anything in this policy, email booking@workpodng.com.
What we collect
- When you book: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, the space, dates and times you choose, the price, and your booking reference.
- When you pay: the payment reference, amount, and whether the payment succeeded. Card and bank details are entered on Paystack’s checkout and are never sent to or stored by Work Pod.
- When you send an enquiry: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and your message.
- To keep the site secure: your IP address, used briefly to limit repeated booking and enquiry attempts. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs.
How we use it
- To take, confirm, and manage your booking, and to verify your payment.
- To email your booking confirmation and let our team know about your booking.
- To reply to your enquiry.
- To prevent abuse of the booking and enquiry forms.
- To keep the business and accounting records the law requires.
We rely on the need to carry out your booking, our legitimate interest in running and securing Work Pod, and our legal obligations. We don’t sell your information or use it for advertising.
Cookies
The public website doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies. A sign-in cookie is used only on the staff admin area. Paystack’s checkout page may set its own cookies under Paystack’s privacy policy.
Who we share it with
We use these service providers, who handle information only to provide their service to us:
- Paystack to process payments.
- Resend to send booking emails.
- Vercel to host the website.
- Turso to store booking and enquiry records.
Some of these providers store information on servers outside Nigeria. We may also share information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and payment records for as long as we need them to provide your booking and to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond and follow up.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to or restrict how we use it. Email booking@workpodng.com from the address you used with us. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
